Welcome to Distance Education Services at your IU Bloomington Libraries!  During the next 3 minutes, you will learn about some of the resources and services the libraries offer especially for you.

Are you enrolled in or teaching an IU Bloomington course, but not currently living in the Bloomington area?  Are you taking a semester abroad or taking a course by distance education?  This list will tell you if you are qualified to use our distance library services.

The IU Bloomington Libraries will send you books and articles wherever your studies take you – elsewhere in the state or country or overseas.  All the services and resources you need for your coursework and research are available to you from this page.

First, to get you started:

There are two things you will need in order to use these distance services: 

1. your  IUB Network ID and Password - which you are given as soon as you are enrolled

and

2. a Library Barcode.  The library barcode will allow you to request books and articles to be sent to you wherever you are.
