Visual Resources Center (VRC)
|
The Visual Resources Center (VRC), formerly the Fine Arts Slide Library, provides image acquisition, reference, and presentation services to support the academic needs of the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts, and the Indiana University Department of the History of Art. We assist faculty and students in the Fine Arts with classroom technology problems and image-based PowerPoint. The VRC provides training and assistance in using ARTstor, CAMIO, and other online subscription image services. We also house the Fine Arts slide collection of over 325,000 slides. The VRC also produces DIDO (Digital Images Delivered Online), a campus image bank of over 60,000 images covering a wide range of art, architecture, and cultural objects. DIDO is available to anyone with an IUB user ID. We are located on the ground floor of the Fine Arts Building, near the elevators. The VRC is not completely ADA accessible. Hours: 8:00am--5:00pm Monday through Friday, while classes are in session. The VRC is open to all faculty and teaching staff, and to students and the public by appointment.
