Borrow

Circulation Policies – Policies related to circulating library collections. How long can you keep things, who can check out materials, etc.

Returns – How and where you can return materials.

Recall – Request materials that are currently checked out to another patron for your use. Place a Request.

Request Delivery – Have materials owned in any IU library delivered to another IU library of your choice for pick up. Place a Request (via IUCAT)

Request Article Delivery - Request an article that is only available in print on the Bloomington campus to be delivered to you electronically. Place a Request

Request from ALF – Have materials from our off-site storage facility delivered to a library near you. Place a Request (via IUCAT)

Books By Mail – Faculty can have books delivered to their campus mail address. Place a Request (via IUCAT)

Borrow Materials Not Owned By IU – Check this page first if you are visiting another library.  Use InterLibrary Loan (ILL) to have other libraries' materials delivered here.

Borrow from IU Bloomington – Information for other libraries and unaffiliated users who want to borrow something from IUB.

Renew

Renew – Faculty, Staff, and Students can extend the due date on IU library materials through the “My Account” feature in IUCAT. Place a Request (via IUCAT)

Renew InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Materials – Request that materials you borrowed through ILL be renewed. Place a Request

Renew Outside of IUCAT – For Indiana residents or others who want to renew via a web form, email or phone.

Request

Request a Purchase – Suggest materials that the IU Libraries should add to their collections. Place a Request

Rush Cataloging Request – Request an item in IUCAT that is on order or in process to be expedited. Place a Request.
