Publication and Data Services

  • Digital Library
    The Indiana University Digital Library Program (DLP) is dedicated to the production, maintenance, delivery, and preservation of a wide range of high-quality networked information resources for scholars and students at Indiana University and elsewhere. The program supports efforts to provide open access to electronic information resources to the Indiana University community and beyond. The DLP is a collaborative effort of the Indiana University Libraries, University Information Technology Services, and the university research faculty with leadership from the School of Library and Information Science and School of Informatics.

  • Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
    What is a Geographic Information System? A geographic information system (GIS) is a computer system that is used to collect, store, analyze, and display data that relates to a geographic area. Additional information on GIS is available from the U.S. Geological Survey or ESRI, a GIS software producer.

  • IUScholarWorks Repository, Journal Publishing and Data Management Services
    The IUScholarWorks Repository allows IU-affiliated researchers and graduate students to easily make their scholarly materials openly available on the web, centrally archived and preserved for the long term. IUScholarWorks also provides both an Open Access journal publishing platform, and data management services to help researchers comply with grant funding agency mandates and better steward their data for the long term.

  • Statistical Data Services
    Serving statistical data users at IUB is a collaborative endeavor of the IU Libraries and various research or supporting units on the Bloomington campus, including the Political Science Data Laboratory and Archive, the Karl F. Schuessler Institute for Social Research, and the Stat/Math Center of University Information Technology Services (UITS). Staff in the Government Information, Maps and Microform Services unit of the Herman B Wells Library coordinates the access to statistical information as well as the collection development and management of statistical data resources to meet burgeoning statistical data needs of the Indiana University community. We acquire and manage an extensive collection of statistical information resources in both print and electronic format.

  • SAVAIL
    Sound And Video Analysis & Instruction Laboratory. SAVAIL is a multidisciplinary technical lab that enables folklorists, ethnomusicologists, anthropologists and musicologists to analyze sound and movement as well as produce documentary materials for the presentation of research and the creation of examples for classroom use

  • IDAH
    The Institute for Digital Arts and Humanities links a network of disciplinary experts and highly technical faculty and support staff who work in interdisciplinary teams on collection-building, tool-building, and the development of appropriate methods for study and analysis of collections.
