Computing, Printing, Copying, and Scanning

Computing:

Many library resources are available only online.  All current IU students, faculty and staff may log on to computers in the libraries to use online books, articles and other information.

Visitors may request a free Library Guest Account at the circulation desk in any IUB library.  Some libraries have Library Express workstations that provide access to the library catalog and selected information resources without a login.

Priority use of library workstations is for students, faculty and staff of Indiana University.  Non-affiliated library users with Library Guest Accounts may be asked to relinquish the workstations to the priority users. To access U.S. Federal information, consult staff in Government Information, Maps, and Microforms, Wells Library, East Tower 2.  812-855-6924. Email: libet2@indiana.edu

Printing:

Printing is available for IU Bloomington students and faculty through their University accounts.

Other users may purchase black & white printing in increments of 100 ($4.00) at the UITS Support Center Desk, located at the entrance to the Information Commons (West Tower) of the Herman B Wells Library.   Funds placed on a guest library account can also be used to pay for color copies and prints from the color plotter, services with higher costs.

Copying and Scanning:

Print resources may be photocopied or scanned to a removable drive or to a web-based location.

Most IUB libraries have photocopiers and scanners for your use.
