These resources include photographs, manuscripts and other useful research tools for understanding fashion and design from a historical perspective.

 

 

American Memory

The Library of Congress has developed a portal to digitized primary source materials including but not limited to photographs, manuscripts, sound recordings and moving images relating to American history.

Digital Library for the Decorative Arts and Material Culture
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries has compiled a collection of electronic resources on the Early American decorative arts, which includes texts and journals, image databases, and information on organizations, museums and research facilities.
