America History & Life covers the history of the United States and Canada from pre-history to the present, indexing more than 2000 journals published worldwide, dissertations and reviews.

 

Armed Conflict Database provides an interactive and user-friendly source of information on armed conflicts worldwide.It covers international and internal conflicts, as well as terrorism. It provides an interactive and user-friendly source of information on 70 armed conflicts including terrorism, refugees/ and returnees, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), weapons used and their flows, fatalities, costs ($US), historical backgrounds, annual updates and timelines.

Find Newspaper Articles 

Factiva provides general news and business information. It has international newswires and pictures, TV and radio transcripts. You can do a company search for competitors, comparisons, SEC documents.

 

LexisNexis Academic includes articles from international newspapers, magazines, transcripts, legal research and medical journals.

 

Proquest Historical Newspapers allow you to view pdf files of newspaper articles. This link will take you to the Chicago Tribune, but from there you can select the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, or Washington Post.
