Using Images from IU Libraries
With few exceptions, the Indiana University Libraries do not own copyright or reproduction rights to the materials in its collections. The researcher is responsible for determining the copyright holder and obtaining copyright permission. The Libraries will reproduce for publication only items for which they hold the rights of reproduction or receive written permission from the copyright holder. The individual requesting reproductions expressly assumes the responsibility for compliance with all pertinent provisions of the Copyright Act, 17 USC Sections 101 et seq.
Once you have obtained permission, or if you believe that IU owns the copyright to the material, requests for reproductions can be sent to the following:
