East Asian Languages and Cultures

Pertains to the study of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages, literature, and culture. The subject accommodates a variety of interests, from ancient Chinese philosophy to modern East Asian politics. It is interdisciplinary in nature and is studied by those in the fields of history, political science, language and literature, education, folklore, fine arts, religious studies, media studies, business, anthropology, sociology, and comparative literature among others.
