A Reference book in the Business/SPEA Information Commons  at HC 106.82 .M8.  In it you can find statistics on population, employment, income, and retail sales in MSAs (Metropolitan Statistical Areas) across the country.  They also provide projected data to the year 2040, in five year increments.  example

Dun & Bradstreet's Million Dollar Database  Directory of US businesses.  Can do a custom search by various criteria:  company size, industry codes, geographical specifications, etc. 


Associations Unlimited   Directory information on associations, professional societies, nonprofit organizations, including local, state, national and international.  Sometimes trade associations make market research freely abailable from their Web sites.

Datamonitor - Includes 10,000 company profiles, 2,000 industry profiles and 50 country profiles.

MarketResearch.com Academic
- Detailed market research reports from leading sources.

 

Mintel Reports   Consumer market studies by Mintel analysts. Covers food, beverage, apparel, beauty and personal, retail, travel and more. Each study provides a synthesis of both primary and secondary data and analysis. International in scope but strong in European countries and the U.S.
