G402: Gender Perspectives on Population Issues

The following resources and strategies will help you locate information in order to answer the research question: Do gender differentials exist in some aspect of demographic behavior and what are social sources of these differentials?

Potential topics: birth, death, marriage, migration, age structure, population policy, and the examination of gender in the population literature or the examination of population in the gender literature.

To access articles assigned as course readings, search for the journal title (underlined in your G402 Readings List) in the Online Full-Text Journal search to locate the full text of the assigned readings.

 

Reminders to researchers:

  • Consider what you already know and ask yourself what you want to find out.
  • Think about the origin and quality of data and information.
  • Collect all of the pertinent information from each resource consulted in order to compile a complete citation for your bibliography (list of references).
