The Information Commons (IC) is a partnership between University Information Technology Services (UITS) and the IU Libraries. The IC provides reference services, media services, and instructional services and support to IUB faculty and students. In addition, the IC is responsible for outreach, cultural programming, and building collections that support undergraduate coursework and learning.

Assignment Consultation Assistance: The Instructional Services staff can help develop a library research assignment, suggest ideas/improvements for an existing assignment and provide feedback once an assignment has been given. For more information, contact 855-9857 or libinstr@indiana.edu.

- 350 workstations
- Wireless network
- Group workstations configured for 2-5 people to collaborate
- Laptops are available for check-out during regular library hours.
- Multimedia Center– software & equipment to edit and create media presentations and projects
- Computer consultants who can answer questions about the software and hardware in the IC, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- The Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) offers resources & support for students with disabilities
- UITS Support Center– consultants to help with network accounts, file recovery, software installation & wireless set-up for laptops
- STEPS classes that include free software & programming workshops
