The annual Human Development Reports, issued since 1990 by the United Nations Development Program, are available in the library in print copies or at hdr.undp.org either on or off campus with an authorized log-on using VPN, and at bibpurl.oclc.org/web/1940.
The CIA's World Factbook is generally of inferior quality but is sometimes useful because it includes estimates for countries not members of the UN. See it on the web at https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html. The library also has print copies.
