Teaching and Research Collection (closed stacks)
Established in 1975, this is a multidisciplinary collection intended to support the broad range of study and research at IU from the undergraduate through post-doctorate level. The collection contains approximately 2,000 spoken-word audiocassettes, 13,000 one-half and three-quarter inch videocassettes, 650 Laserdiscs, 2,500 DVDs, and a small number of CDs and CD-ROMs. This link provides information to new acquisitions, reviews, streaming resources, how to cite multimedia, and more.
Media Browsing Collection (open stacks)
This collection was established in 2001, and is available to all Indiana residents. It can be used to supplement research projects, as well as satisfy extracurricular and outreach interests.The browsing collection includes foreign langauge CDs, audiobooks, videogames, and over 9,000 DVDs and videos, and includes art, biography, documentary and feature films, foreign, and television series. Instructional Support Services (ISS) Collection (closed stacks)
This collection established prior to World War II, supports the curriculum and contains approximately 8,074 educational videos, some DVDS, and well over 27,000 archival 16mm film titles. This link provides access to film titles as well as subject and topical guides.
David S. Bradley Collection (closed stacks)
This 16mm film collection was established in 1997, and contains approximately 3,964 16mm films. It is one of the most comprehensive film collections ever assembled by an individual collector. The collection spans the history of cinema in the United States and Europe, including both classic and obscure films from France, Germany, Italy, Russia, England, and Scandinavia, as well as the films of the world's most acclaimed filmmakers. The 16mm films are currently housed at the Auxilary Library Facility (ALF) and must be requested via IUCAT. This link provides information about David S.
