Visitors

The Indiana University Bloomington Libraries include the Herman B Wells Library as well as subject-specific campus libraries.  All libraries are open to the public. Our collections may be checked out by students, faculty, and staff of Indiana University, persons affiliated with Indiana University, CIC scholars, OCLC scholars and residents of the state of Indiana.

If you plan to conduct extensive research during your visit, we suggest you contact a subject librarian beforehand who can advise you of any materials which might be held off-site or services which can help you in your research.

Check our Library Catalog, IUCAT, to find out if we have the materials you need. If IUCAT indicates that the item you need is located in the "Auxiliary Library Facility", you should request that item prior to your visit. Visit the Indiana University Visitors Center for information on accommodations, attractions, events, and tours.
