Database available to authorized IU Bloomington users (on or off campus)
This database contains over 1200 full-text plays, written by over 100 playwrights from North America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Much of the collection consists of very rare or out-of-print manuscripts, and plays previously unpublished. Materials include productions for the Federal Theatre Project, plays written for the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s and 1970s, and works performed as township theatre in South Africa during apartheid.
