Anthropology Plus searches two indexes to anthropology publications, namely Anthropological Literature and Anthropological Index. It covers journal articles in social and cultural anthropology, ethnography, bioanthropology, anthropological linguistics, archaeology, and related fields.
Anthropological Literature (ANL) is produced by the Tozzer Library at Harvard. ANL combines the catalogue of the Peabody Museum with current indexing of journals recveived by Tozzer. Print source:
Catalogue of the Library of the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. Boston: G.K. Hall, 1963, and Anthropological literature. v. 1-5; winter 1979-fall 1983.
Anthropological Index is produced by the Royal Anthropological Institute. Entries are compiled from journals in the Library of the British Museum's Department of Ethnography, which includes the former Royal Anthropological Institute library. Coverage is worldwide, including Eastern Europe, the Americas, Asia, Australasia, and the Pacific. Coverage of Commonwealth countries and Africa is especially good.
