Based on Charles Evans's American Bibliography, this database is a collection of digitized full-text original printed works.  It covers the print culture of 17th and 18th cenutry American life in a wide variety of material types, including maps, textbooks, songs and novels.  The texts are searchable and browseable by type, and, when completed, the collection will comprise 36,000 works and 2,400,000 images.
