The Digitaler Wenker-Atlas (DiWA) is an electronic edition of Georg Wenker's "Linguistic Atlas of the German Empire" (Sprachatlas des Deutschen Reichs). The 1,668 hand-colored maps of the Atlas are based on data gathered between 1876 and 1887 and are being incorporated into various databases.

Der Digitale Wenker-Atlas (DiWA) befindet sich jetzt in der Entwicklungsphase. Die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) finanziert das Projekt im Rahmen ihres Programms "Retrospektive Digitalisierung von Bibliotheksbeständen". Aktuell (Stand: 2003-10-31) sind alle 576 Karten online einsehbar.
