This online information service is still under construction. Klassik online bibliographic joins a long tradition of the Duchess Anna Amalia Library in Weimar, and its predecessor institutions. Since 1960, here is the International Bibliography of German Classicism (IBC) developed a specialized bibliography of German literature from the Enlightenment to late Romanticism.
In 2008, the previously published annually printable version of the IBC for the benefit of this was set to actuality-oriented online service. The database currently contains a single bibliographic evidence to more than 120,000 books and essays that have appeared since 1990. Recorded also since 2000 published online publications, these are usually free and open access theses, whose long-term preservation by the German National Library is assured. Klassik online involves a systematic search option and an order function in the context of the Common Library Network. It is possible to subscribe to specific search queries via an RSS feed.
