IIBP Full Text includes current and retrospective bibliographic citations and abstracts from over 150 scholarly and popular journals, newspapers and newsletters from the United States, Africa and the Caribbean--and full-text coverage of 24 core Black Studies periodicals (1998 forward). See the title list for periodicals included. Most IIBP Full Text records in the current coverage (1998 forward) contain an abstract, and additionally many IIBP Full Text records contain the corresponding full text of the original article.
Coverage is international in scope and multidisciplinary--spanning cultural, economic, historical, religious, social, and political issues of vital importance to the Black Studies/African American Studies discipline. The journal list was prepared with the guidance of an advisory board including librarians specializing in Black Studies
1998-present covered in *full text* for about 24 journals.
First issue forward citation only coverage for over 100 titles, some with abstracts; some titles date from the beginning of the 20th Century.
