- Where found: In the open stacks on the first, second and third floors.
- Books and scores classed as A - M244 : First Floor
- Books and scores classed as M245 - M2199 : Second floor.
- Books, journals, and scores classed as ML1 - Z: Third floor.
- Miniature scores: Second floor (northeast corner)
- Oversize books and scores: Third floor (in the far northeast corner, after the Zs)
- How to access: Find the item on shelf and use it in the library or take it to the circulation desk to check out of the library.
- Loan periods:
- Indiana University faculty and graduate students: One semester
- Indiana University undergraduate students and staff: 30 days
- Indiana residents: 30 days
- Overdue fines:
- Students, staff and Indiana residents:
- $.25 per day ($25.00 maximum)
- After 100 days, we assume the material will not be returned. A bill will be sent for:
- $25.00 -- Maximum overdue fine (non-refundable)
- $50.00 -- Minimum standard fee for replacement of the item
- $20.00 -- Database adjustment fee
- $ 5.00 -- Billing fee
- Indiana University faculty: No overdue fines unless the item has been recalled.
- Students, staff and Indiana residents:
- Renewals: Items may be renewed twice after initial checkout unless requested by another patron. After the second renewal, items must be returned to the Music Library. If no one else has requested the item and it does not need repair or binding, you may check it out again.
- Recalls: Any item may be recalled by another patron. If someone recalls an item you have out, you will receive a notice from the Music Library asking that you bring the item back within 10 days of the date of the notice.
If you choose to ignore the notice, you will be billed a non-refundable $25.00 Recall Overdue fine.
