Welcome to the West European Studies (WEST) Collection at Indiana University Libraries.

The resources on this site are targeted to students and researchers in history and the social and policy sciences who are investigating contemporary political, institutional, sociological, and cultural developments in Western Europe and the European Union. The WEST Collection includes continental and English-language monographs, serials, and primary source materials to support the interdisciplinary study of postwar Western Europe and the European Union. Collection emphasis is on the social and policy sciences, contemporary history, journalism and media studies, as well as other area studies concerns. Please email Bob Goehlert to suggest titles or for further research support.

The European Union Depository Collection is located in the Indiana Univeristy Library’s Government Information, Microforms, and Statistical Services Department (GIMMS), where publications from the Council of Europe, NATO, the EU, and the UN Economic Commission for Europe may be found.
