Information Fluency Grants: Panel Session & Info-Share

What are some creative and engaging ways to teach the research process? How do students learn to find, evaluate, and use information? To what extent can undergraduates be expected to incorporate scholarly sources into course assignments?

In order to begin to address these questions, the IU Libraries, along with The College of Arts & Sciences and the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, awarded instructional grants of $1500 to faculty toward the design or revision of undergraduate courses to incorporate information fluency. As a result of these grants, faculty and librarians have worked together to reenergize courses that teach students how to do scholarly research. During this panel session, the grant participants will share their experiences in integrating information fluency outcomes, assignments, and assessments into courses in a variety of disciplines.
