Exhibit Details Kennedy Presidency

11/18/2003

Government Information, Microforms, and Statistical Services is displaying material about President Kennedy and the aftermath of his death as the nation marks the 40th anniversary of his assassination.

A time line shows crucial moments in Kennedy's life, up until his assassination on November 22, 1963. Historic magazines show the nation's response to the tragedy.

Also included in the exhibit are: documentation of Kennedy's presidency, books addressing his impact on civil rights and foreign affairs, works on the investigation into his death, and the Transcripts of the Hearing before the President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy.

Most of the documents in the display were received through the Federal Depository Library Program.

An online exhibit features a biographical time line, key aspects of Kennedy's presidency, and tips for finding sources for further research.

GIMSS is located on the second floor of the Main Library in 250B.
