IU Libraries Shift from Paper to Electronic Notices
11/17/2003
In a move that speeds transmission and saves paper, the IU
Libraries will begin sending electronic overdue notices, recalls,
and due-date reminders. IU students, faculty, and staff
members will begin receiving the notices via IU e-mail beginning
November 24.
For the past year we have encouraged library patrons to sign up for this service, but we can now offer it automatically. To guarantee a smooth transition, we will send duplicate paper copies of only recall notices through next summer.
This service complements online features that make it easier for you to manage library transactions. You also may review a list of materials you have checked out and renew materials online. Go to the Libraries home page at http://www.libraries.iub.edu/ and click on Borrow, Renew & Request.
If you use a non-IU e-mail address, please see instructions on how to forward your IU e-mail at: http://kb.indiana.edu/data/beoj.html?cust=466730.19673.131
