08/12/2010
IUB Archives
This new exhibit at the Indiana University Archives features visual
highlights from the Department of Speech and Theatre records.
Materials on display illustrate the cultivation of a diverse
performance repertoire during a pivotal period in the
department’s development and expansion from the 1930s-1970s.
Photographs, programs, news pieces, and various original designs
give visitors a documentary tour of Indiana University
theatre’s evolution over the course of a fifty year tradition
in stage craft as well as bring to light the depth of student
involvement both on and off the stage.
Curated by Amy Jankowski and Angela Kilsdonk, graduate students in
the Archives Specialization in the School of Library and
Information Science.
