Weddle Brothers Building Group of Bloomington, IN was awarded a contract on April 26, 2010, to renovate the Business/SPEA Information Commons (SPEA 150). The work is scheduled for completion by October 10. The project, designed by Lohr Design of Indianapolis, includes construction of two 100-seat classrooms, restrooms, 16 group study rooms, a café, and a new information commons. The work is funded through a partnership of the IUB Libraries, the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, the Kelley School of Business, University Information Technology Services, and Residential Programs and Services.

Demolition work began on May 10. The collections, services, and staff of the Business/SPEA Information Commons are currently housed in the Wells Library.
