The Monroe County Public Library and the Friends of the Library will host Pulitzer winner, journalis, and best-selling author Rick Bragg  on Saturday, Nov. 14. 2009   Bragg's family memoirs and newspaper stories offer an intimate view of hard times, poverty, hope, and perseverance.

Poverty and the Power of Words: Author talk and Book Signing, Buskirk-Chumley Theater, 7 p.m., free and open to the public.
