The William and Gayle Cook Music Library yesterday received the “Employer of the Year” award from Bloomington-based Options.

Options supports individuals with disabilities by helping them find and keep jobs in their communities. Using a team approach, the agency provides job-seeking skills, job placement, long-term career development services, and ongoing support. Options assists employers in meeting their ongoing workforce needs by matching people to jobs.

In recognizing the library, the Options service coordinator wrote, “It is apparent that the staff of the IU Cook Music Library has embraced the working relationship between themselves and Options in serving people with Supported Employment opportunities…It’s been a wonderful experience to partner with such a great organization in supporting individuals in a community employment setting.”
