Dating Tips for Don Draper

Just in time for Valentine's Day, watch funny vintage films offering dating advice from the 1950s.

Each culture in every time and place develops rituals for how individuals become couples. How did your grandparents ever get together? Bring your lunch and watch three “social guidance” educational films to get an idea.  A representative from the IU Health Center will speak to the modern relevance of these archival films.

Dramatizes incidents about a teenage boy and girl who are popular and welcome in any group because they are friendly, considerate, and interested in other people. Provides a helpful guide to the solutions of personal and social problems commonly faced by teenagers.

Date Etiquette

Follows a first date through from the invitation to saying goodnight. Danny and Alice go to the school play and

afterwards stop for something to eat. They are shown as they meet friends, order at the restaurant, and carry on a

conversation.

preparing for a scavenger sale. Discusses the social value of group participation in "coming activities" sponsored by
