Archives Exhibit Features IU Madrigal Tradition
12/05/2008
Born from a collaboration between the Indiana Memorial Union and the Indiana University School of Music in 1947, the tradition of Indiana University Madrigal Feasts spanned over 50 years, serving tens of thousands of guests and transporting them back to Christmastide of sixteenth century England.
The exhibit includes photographs, programs, recipes and music drawn from the collections of the Indiana University Archives as well as several hats and other textiles used in the Madrigal productions generously loaned from the Indiana Memorial Union Board.
The exhibition is on display through December at the Office of University Archives and Records Management.
