Kevin Young, Indiana University Ruth Lilly Professor of Poetry, will read poetry from his works and present a talk on poetry writing on October 16 at the African American Cultural Center Library.

A question-and-answer session and an open poetry reading will follow Young's presentation. The event will run from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in Room 113A of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center.

Young is a distinguished graduate of Harvard and Brown universities. His latest book is "Jelly Roll: A Blues."
