Film Depicts African American President

James Earl Jones plays Senator Douglass Dilman who becomes president of the United States due to circumstances beyond his control. He battles power-hungry politicians, his daughter, and his own doubts while learning to govern. The Man (1972) was the first film to depict an African American president.
Followed by a panel discussion.
