Lilly Library Exhibit Features 19th Century Naval World

"Blue at the Mizzen: Patrick O'Brian and the 19th
Century Naval World" features the work of novelist Patrick
O'Brian, best-known for his series of Aubrey-Maturin books about
the British Navy of the early 19th century. Lilly Library
holdings include the manuscript drafts and research notes for
most of these novels as well as other related O'Brian materials.
The exhibition will also display historical books and manuscripts
illustrating the naval world of the period.
The exhibit will be on display through September 6, 2008 is
