Resource Discovery Site Launches
08/15/2007
After months of collecting data and testing features important to the academic community, the IUB Libraries have launched a new Web site.
The site--we're calling it a Resource Discovery System--not only retains many of the popular features and navigation of the former Web site, but it also emphasizes the search function as a means to discover resources.
New visitors to the site will no longer have to distinguish between a "database," "index" or "journal" to find results. Technology now makes it possible to search multiple resources simultaneously, allowing the opportunity to introduce value-added searchability.
As always, the Web site provides access to more than 30,000 electronic journals and databases, 224,000 electronic books, and the pathway to discover millions of print resources in one of the nation's largest research libraries. Try our new Web site and see for yourself!
