Join Artsweek 2007 Exhibit at Wells Library

02/22/2007

Create your own virtual artwork using the IU Cyclotron Facility's Rapid Prototyping Color 3-D Printer!

As part of Bloomington's Artsweek 2007, the IUB Libraries are hosting an exhibition and demonstration of artworks created in virtual space. Participants will first be able to view a demonstration of the process of creating objects using the 3-D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software Rhinoceros and Inventor and then watch as the images are made into tangible objects using the IUCF's 3-D Color printer.

In addition, twelve computer stations will be available for the public and school groups to experiment with Rhino and Inventor, create a small object, color it in Z-Edit, and then watch their object being built in the 3-D Color printer.

Days and times for the exhibit are limited. Interested individuals and school groups are encouraged to make reservations for designated 3 hour time slots.
