The Wylie House Museum has pulled out the fine china (and other items in its collection) for two concurrent exhibits on display through November.

Prints, Patterns, & Porcelain will be displayed in the Fine Arts Library foyer from October 30 to November 17. This exhibit features examples of fine and general use 19th century ceramics, including lusterware, British transfer printed items, Chinese export porcelain, jasper and parian ware. Many are from a recently aquired decorative arts collection and several are Wylie family pieces.

In conjunction with Prints, Patterns, & Porcelain, the Wylie House will also be hosting A Glimpse of Wylie Household Taste: Come to the Table! from November 1 to November 30 (excluding Thanksgiving weekend). This exhibit will be shown in the dining room of the Wylie House and will feature a dining room table setting complete with dishes, glassware, flatware, candle sticks, saltcellars, linens, and a floral center piece.
