Experience The Thrill of Discovery: How Primary Sources Influence Research
10/19/2006
Join IU professors John Nieto-Phillips, Bill Newman, and George Hutchinson, as they present "The Thrill of Discovery: How Primary Sources Influence Research," the final event in a monthlong celebration of our shared history revealed through archives and special collections.
Indiana University faculty members flourish, in part, because of the extraordinary research materials available to them. From the alchemy of Sir Isaac Newton to the image of Hispanics in turn-of-the-century newspapers, research at IU covers a broad spectrum, and every researcher approaches his or her topic a bit differently. Sometimes the primary sources change the nature of the research. Each panelist will discuss his own process of discovery and the impact of the primary sources.
What: "The Thrill of Discovery: How Primary Sources Influence Research"
Where: Herman B Wells Library, E174
When: Monday, October 30, 3:30 p.m.
