Join a Lecture on Indiana's Ernie Pyle on October 26

Indiana's own Ernie Pyle, the famous WWII correspondent known for his foksy writing style, was a student at Indiana University before he began his journalism career. The columns he filed from the frontlines brought the immediacy of war to millions of readers on the home front and earned him a Pulitzer Prize in 1944. Johnson, associate professor of journalism and adjunct professor of history at IU, describes how understanding Pyle's letters illuminates this famous native son.
