Join Steve Rolfe, president of the Monroe County Civil War Roundtable, as he presents "Local Heroes: Fallen Soldiers of the Revolutionary War and Civil War," a lecture in our monthlong series of events celebrating local archives and special collections.

Located in the northwest corner of Monroe County, the Buskirk/Abel/Wampler Cemetery is home to two Revolutionary War soldiers and several Civil War soldiers, including "Big" Dave van Buskirk whose story is depicted at the Monroe County History Center.  Rolfe will discuss the extensive collection of Monroe County Cemetery records as well as Monroe County Civil War documents at the Center's Genealogy Library.
