April 8: Many Faces, Many Voices @ Your Library
View the compelling photography of Professor Tyagan Miller, School of Journalism, and IU student Antonio Soto Carlo. Miller, who has exhibited his work at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, will present an intimate portrait of the Bloomington’s Latino community. Soto Carlo documents his homeland Puerto Rico.
At 6:30 p.m., a fiction/poetry reading will feature the works of IU students and faculty.
April 10: Book Discussion
In celebration of National Library Week, the IUB Libraries will host a discussion of George Orwell's 1984, chosen by Bloomington readers as the centerpiece of this year's One Book One Bloomington activities.
Professor Donald J. Gray, Culbertson Chair Emeritus of English, will lead the discussion on Thursday, April 10, at 4 p.m. in the Lilly Library Lounge.
One Book One Bloomington, sponsored by the Bloomington Area Arts Council, encourages community-wide reading of an influential book. What if all of Bloomington read the same book?
