Celebrate Life Sciences Week
01/20/2005
Life Sciences Week is a
celebration of IU’s exciting work and discoveries in the
life sciences. During this week, IU will launch a
life
sciences Web site that will feature stories about important
new life sciences research—and how it affects you
personally, as well as information specifically for prospective
students, patients, business leaders, and researchers.
The IUB Libraries will participate in Life Sciences Week by
sponsoring an exhibition at the Lilly Library:
Exhibition: H.J. Muller, Geneticist
Location: The Lilly
Library, Lincoln Room
Dates: January 21—January 31, 2005
A geneticist and IU research professor, Muller did important work
on fruit flies proving that exposure to radiation caused mutation
in living organisms. The exhibition will include research and
data from his work, correspondence with other scientists,
photographs, and an image of the intricate "wall scheme" for
designing special genetic stocks.

calendar.
