Updates to Wylie House Exterior Completed
07/08/2004
When the Wylie House was restored in the 1960s, all of the exterior wood trim was painted white. But peeling paint and water damage since its last refreshing left the building in need of updates. Advanced Restoration Contractors Inc. repainted all the exterior trim in a tan and a dark green, colors more appropriate to the early 19th century.

Built by Andrew Wylie, Indiana University's first president, in 1835, the Wylie House Museum is one of Bloomington's oldest structures and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
