To commemorate the 60th anniversary of D-Day, the IUB Libraries Media Literacy Film Series will present the Academy Award-winning film Saving Private Ryan.

Chad Parker, doctoral candidate in the Department of History, will lead a discussion prior to and immediately following the film.

*When: Tuesday, June 1, 2004  6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

*Where: Main Library, Room E174.

The event is free and open to the public.

Film critics have hailed the opening scenes of a soldier's-eye view of the Normandy invasion as a cinematic tour de force. The film is rated R for its extensive graphic images of war.
