As IU celebrates the inauguration of Adam W. Herbert as its seventeenth president, learn more about past presidents through an exhibition by the Indiana University Archives.

The exhibition highlights the inauguration ceremonies of many previous IU presidents, including Andrew Wylie, the university's first president; David Starr Jordan; William Lowe Bryan; and Herman B Wells, shown at left at his inauguration in 1938 (photo courtesy of IU Archives). 

Display items include photographs, programs, texts of speeches, and congratulatory letters.
