Shelving Book Trays (ALF)

Book trays are shelved directly from processing carts onto pre-sized shelves using the order picker.  Once an open space on an appropriately sized shelf is found, the barcode of a book tray is scanned and associated with the shelf's barcode using a PDT (portable data terminal, below).  The data is then downloaded onto the LAS program, and the order is closed.  The material now has a searchable location, and is available to be retrieved.
