Endowments and Grants

In order to sustain our reputation as one of the largest and best academic research library systems in the nation, we rely upon the generosity of its many friends and supporters. In fact, last year fundraising represented 7 percent of the IU Libraries' total annual expenditures -- and that base of support continues to grow.

In addition to income from many friends, however, IU Libraries also generate substantial revenue from competitive grants and private and corporate endowments.
