    Select the "Industries" tab and search or browse for desired industry overview.  
    MarketLine Advantage  - about
    Click on Industry and search by keyword; will include market value, volume, segmentation, market share, and a brief summary of the leading companies in that industry.
    Mergent Online   - about help
    Over thirty industries covered, by country.  Select "Report Search" from the top tabs, then click on "Industry Reports". Topics covered include current environment, including merger and acquisition activity, market trends, and leading companies.
    ReferenceUSA  - about
    Select "OneSource". In the "Industries" search box enter a search term, SIC code or NAICS code. Find reports from Freedonia, Datamonitor, and BMI (Business Monitor International).

    Financial Data
    Annual Survey of Manufactures
    The Annual Survey of Manufactures (ASM) provides sample estimates of statistics for all manufacturing establishments with one or more paid employee. The U.S. Census Bureau conducts the ASM in each of the 4 years between the economic census which is collected for years ending in 2 and 7. Among the statistics included in this survey: employment, payroll, value added by manufacture, cost of materials consumed, value of shipments, detailed capital expenditures, supplemental labor costs, fuels and electric energy used, and inventories by stage of fabrication.
    U.S. Census Bureau: Economic Census   -   help
    The economic census provides a detailed portrait of the United States' economy once every five years, from the national to the local level. The Census Web site provides access to the 1997, 2002 and 2007 reports.

    S&P Analysts' Handbook
    (Book) Business/SPEA Information Commons Reference  @ HG 4519 .S785 - - Compares most vital financial and per share data for the broad S&P groups. It provides up to 30 years of selected per share data for all industry groups in the S&P 500 Composite Index, and up to six years of in-depth financial data on each group in the S&P Industrials Index.

    Amadeus  - about
    Public and Private European Companies only.  Can search by geoography, industry codes, size criteria, financial data and more.  Select desired criteria from the "Expert Search" list of variables.  Click on "OK" on bottom right when finished.  To view the list and export a report, click on the "List" tab at the top of the page. 
    Dun & Bradstreet's Million Dollar Database   - about
    Directory of businesses in the U.S., Canada, & Mexico regardless of size, plus international businesses with $500,000+ sales or 20+ employees. Search by geography, industry codes, size criteria and more.  Click on "Advanced Search".  Select desired field name and enter your criteria.  Then hit "Add to Criteria" button.  Continue adding all desired criteria, then click on "Run Search". Various output options.
    Hoover's Online   - abouthelp
    International.  Public and Private Companies.  Can search by geography, size, industry codes, financial data and more.  Select "Build A List" on the right and select desired criteria.   
    LexisNexis Academic   - about help

    Passport GMID: Global Market Information Database   - about
    Locate demographic, economic and marketing statistics for 205 countries, as well as detailed income, expenditure and lifestyle statistics. Access 4500 consumer lifestyle reports.
    RDS Business Reference Suite   - about -   help
    Subjects covered include: market share, company and brand rankings, industry and product forecasts, production and consumption statistics, imports and exports, usage and capacity, number of users and outlets, trends and demographics. Most of this information is in the database "Tablebase" so be sure to put a check in that box.
