Maps are available in three collections in the IU Bloomington Libraries:

The Geography-Map Library holds possesses over 250,000 maps. It is a depository library for the U.S. Geological Survey, the Defense Mapping Agency, the National Ocean Service, and the Indiana Geological Survey. Special collections at the Geography & Map Library include cyrillic topographic maps, Sanborn Fire Insurance maps, the Alfred C. Kinsey map collection, and a collection of rare 19th century Indiana and Midwestern maps. Ask GML Reference
GEOSCIENCES LIBRARY -- Visit the Geology Library Website
The Geosciences Library contains over 300,000 maps related to geology and geophysics. Maps in the collection include USGS topographic and thematic maps for every US state and territory as well as nautical and aeronautical charts, which are received through the Federal Depository Library Program. The Geosciences Library also receives maps from state and foreign geological surveys through the Indiana Geological Survey's exchange program. The Geosciences Library also contains atlases related to the geosciences. GIMSS: Government Information, Microforms and Statistical Services -- Visit the GIMSS: Gov’t Information, Microforms & Statistical Services Website
GIMSS serves a Federal Depository Library for receipt of U.S. Federal Documents, including maps for census areas, national parks, national forests, and international relations. See Map Collections in GIMSS. GIMSS is also a depository for the United Nations and the European Communities as well as the State of Indiana.
